Responsibilities
- Develops existing and new suppliers to ensure flawless launches and partner with the Plant SQA Team to improve supplier performance in serial production.
- Ensures compliance with Purchasing Landscape documentation, Global Supplier Quality Manual (GSQM), and other applicable requirements and certifications.
- Audits supplier.
- Directs, monitors, and reviews supplier APQP activities and ensure completion to BCS standards and on-time.
- Performs APQP and PPAP activities on assigned parts / projects.
- Actively participates in Sourcing Committees and Matched Teams.
- Achieves KPIs such as Supplier On-Time PPAP, Launch Performance, Supplier PPM, Supplier A Concerns, LPAs, Supplier Certification, etc.
- Works with suppliers to develop continuous improvement plans, improve supplier performance, and achieve cost reduction targets.
- Assists team members and suppliers in problem solving effectiveness including root cause analysis through implementation of corrective actions.
- Supports and drives supplier quality concerns and cost recovery process.
- Communicates and collaborates globally with internal customers, suppliers and external customers.
Qualifications and required skills
- Master or Bachelor degree — Engineering or Quality.
- Solid understanding of ISO IATF 16949, ISO/QS9000, VDA.
- Ability to conduct supplier assessments and audits.
- Has a valid VDA 6.3 auditor certificate.
- Solid understanding of PPAP / validation processes.
- Good PC skills.
- English knowledge (verbal and written) — level C1.
- Driving licence.
- Project management skills.
- Communication and presentation skills.
- 5 year job-related experience.
- Availability and flexibility for travelling at suppliers.
